Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Travel, Media and Retail sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr), which rose 5.13% or 1.3250 points to trade at 27.1450 at the close. Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) added 3.53% or 0.150 points to end at 4.400 and Hygeia (AT:HYGr) was up 2.02% or 0.018 points to 0.908 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Karatzi (AT:KRTr), which unchanged 0% or 0.000 points to trade at 6.300 in late trade. Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) declined 3.23% or 0.043 points to end at 1.287 and European Reliance General Insurance Co SA (AT:EREr) gained 1.47% or 0.050 points to 3.450.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 71 to 40 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.10% or 1.20 to $1225.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.76% or 0.47 to hit $61.20 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.64% or 0.46 to trade at $71.61 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1421, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8710.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 96.07.
