Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr), which rose 6.45% or 0.400 points to trade at 6.600 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 6.05% or 0.0130 points to end at 0.2280 and Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) was up 4.57% or 0.240 points to 5.490 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 18.45% or 0.043 points to trade at 0.190 in late trade. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 9.09% or 0.026 points to end at 0.260 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) shed 8.52% or 0.150 points to 1.610.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 64 to 35 and 19 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.55% or 7.20 to $1304.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.63% or 0.33 to hit $51.89 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.82% or 0.48 to trade at $57.95 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.66% to 1.1770, while EUR/GBP fell 0.35% to 0.8767.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 92.97.
