Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 4.46% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.328 at the close. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) added 4.17% or 0.060 points to end at 1.500 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) was up 3.17% or 0.19 points to 6.19 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 12.16% or 0.076 points to trade at 0.549 in late trade. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) declined 5.99% or 0.010 points to end at 0.157 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) shed 4.26% or 0.2000 points to 4.5000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 64 to 42 and 9 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.84% or 11.22 to $1341.62 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.19% or 1.51 to hit $48.80 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.18% or 1.14 to trade at $53.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1913, while EUR/GBP fell 0.57% to 0.9150.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 92.27.
