Forrestania Resources Ltd (ASX:FRS) has enhanced the gold potential of its Eastern Goldfields’ Bonnie Vale project area (E15/1632) with rock chip samples grading up to 2.7 g/t and historic drilling results up to 14 g/t.
The company has also reported significant historic geochem soil results of up to 354 parts per billion gold at the prospect, which features strong zones of highly anomalous gold mineralisation.
These results from Bonnie Vale follow the recent strong results from Ada Ann, which is around 5 kilometres away, including grab samples of up to 49 g/t gold.
Bonnie Vale is close to the historic high-grade mining centre at Christmas Gift, which is within but not part of the company’s licence area, and is coincident with the same geophysical magnetic low.
The company recognises the strong regional exploration potential developing at Bonnie Vale, with historic results from Christmas Gift of up to 40.5 g/t gold.
Historic RAB drilling results at the E15/1632 project area — in close proximity to Christmas Gift — that were never effectively followed up include 4 metres at 4 g/t gold, including 1 metre at 14.3 g/t.
A new target area
Forrestania Resources chairman John Hannaford said: “The potential of the Bonnie Vale project area continues to grow as we do more on-ground fieldwork and continue to work through previous, historic exploration data.
“Significantly, these results are in a different area to the recently announced Ada Ann results, some 5 kilometres to the west, opening up a new target area around the bonanza grade, historic Christmas Gift mine.”
Regional location of the company’s E15/1632 and E15/1534 projects with selected gold operations and simplified geological interpretation.
Forrestania is committed to completing more geochemical work across the Bonnie Vale project area (E15/1632), to infill and complement existing anomalous results with a view to further refining the regional, exploration targets and subsequent drilling.
