Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.42% or 1.00 points to trade at 71.20 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 0.94% or 0.038 points to end at 4.085 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 0.80% or 0.36 points to 45.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 1.49% or 0.150 points to trade at 9.890 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 1.44% or 0.07 points to end at 5.14 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 1.39% or 0.110 points to 7.790.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 82 to 62 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 2.22% or 1.67 to $77.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.75% or 1.13 to hit $65.86 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1302.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.1817, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.8801.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 93.36.
