Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.09% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 2.04% or 0.130 points to trade at 6.495 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.98% or 0.099 points to end at 5.095 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 1.90% or 0.42 points to 22.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which lost 3.90% or 0.28 points to trade at 7.03 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 0.73% or 0.080 points to end at 10.830 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) shed 0.34% or 0.14 points to 41.47.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 43 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $53.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.43% or 0.68 to hit $48.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.01% or 13.71 to trade at $1337.49 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.1963, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.9076.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 91.83.
