Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.51% or 0.148 points to trade at 3.430 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 4.21% or 1.28 points to end at 31.68 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 4.00% or 0.42 points to 10.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which lost 2.17% or 0.088 points to trade at 3.966 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.72% or 0.140 points to end at 7.990 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 1.67% or 0.084 points to 4.946.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 69 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.40% or 0.63 to $45.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.26% or 0.56 to hit $44.88 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.78% or 22.65 to trade at $1294.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.1424, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.7912.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 93.66.
