Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which rose 1.07% or 0.042 points to trade at 3.962 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 0.87% or 0.29 points to end at 33.79 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.71% or 0.040 points to 5.640 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which lost 2.82% or 0.21 points to trade at 7.25 in late trade. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 2.20% or 0.38 points to end at 16.91 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 1.85% or 0.39 points to 20.64.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 69 to 68 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.14% or 0.07 to $50.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.31% or 0.15 to hit $47.68 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 3.86 to trade at $1228.06 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.52% to 1.0919, while EUR/GBP rose 0.69% to 0.8487.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 99.16.
