Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.30% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which rose 2.39% or 15.5 points to trade at 664.0 at the close. Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) added 2.34% or 6.8 points to end at 298.0 and Genmab (CO:GEN) was up 2.03% or 29.0 points to 1458.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG), which lost 1.16% or 3.80 points to trade at 325.20 in late trade. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 0.49% or 60 points to end at 12230 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) shed 0.41% or 1.0 points to 242.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 79 to 44 and 17 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.61% or 1.20 to $47.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.61% or 1.83 to hit $52.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 8.71 to trade at $1322.81 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.05% to 6.2624, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4376.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 92.85.
