Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 1.25% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 1.38% or 160.0 points to trade at 11760.0 at the close. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) added 1.28% or 800.0 points to end at 63300.0 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) was up 0.31% or 120.0 points to 38740.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which lost 4.03% or 1380.0 points to trade at 32900.0 in late trade. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 3.72% or 1180.0 points to end at 30500.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) shed 2.83% or 300.0 points to 10300.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 3 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.86% or 2.31 to $121.97 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 3.78% or 72.50 to hit $1844.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.20 to trade at $1247.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.60% to 3050.18, while BRL/COP rose 0.45% to 915.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 97.24.
