Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Investment, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 1.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH), which rose 0.40% or 100.0 points to trade at 25000.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 0.27% or 5.0 points to end at 1890.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 0.26% or 20.0 points to 7790.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 4.33% or 100.0 points to trade at 2210.0 in late trade. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 2.60% or 340.0 points to end at 12740.0 and Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) shed 2.27% or 900.0 points to 38800.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 6 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 1.21% or 1.48 to $121.05 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 1.01% or 29.00 to hit $2887.50 , while the June Gold contract rose 1.02% or 12.40 to trade at $1231.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.64% to 3085.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.89% to 838.00.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 94.61.
