Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.34% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which rose 1.74% or 75.0 points to trade at 4385.0 at the close. Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 1.23% or 90.0 points to end at 7390.0 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 0.56% or 120.0 points to 21600.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 3.12% or 290.0 points to trade at 9010.0 in late trade. Promigas (CN:PMG) declined 3.03% or 200.0 points to end at 6400.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 2.74% or 110.0 points to 3905.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 4 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.25% or 1.40 to $113.10 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.41% or 8.50 to hit $2103.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.79% or 33.30 to trade at $1226.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.20% to 3089.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.53% to 818.26.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 94.69.
