Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Services, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which rose 3.87% or 780.0 points to trade at 20960.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 3.68% or 700.0 points to end at 19700.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 1.96% or 500.0 points to 26020.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 30.58% or 1035.0 points to trade at 2350.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 3.24% or 260.0 points to end at 7770.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) shed 2.72% or 700.0 points to 25000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 14 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 3.25% or 4.12 to $122.53 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 1.38% or 40.00 to hit $2858.50 , while the June Gold contract fell 0.49% or 6.00 to trade at $1217.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.74% to 3057.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.97% to 845.13.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 94.56.
