Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 1.99% or 55.0 points to trade at 2825.0 at the close. Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 1.58% or 180.0 points to end at 11580.0 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA) was up 1.49% or 200.0 points to 13620.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP (CN:EEB), which lost 1.72% or 35.0 points to trade at 2005.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 1.59% or 8.0 points to end at 495.0 and Conconcret (CN:CIC) shed 1.51% or 15.0 points to 980.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 5 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.61% or 0.75 to $124.03 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.02% or 0.50 to hit $2086.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.21 to trade at $1278.51 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.54% to 2993.99, while BRL/COP rose 0.83% to 925.79.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 93.61.
