Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.30% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 2.27% or 30.0 points to trade at 1350.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 1.93% or 280.0 points to end at 14820.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.30% or 260.0 points to 20260.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which lost 1.59% or 180.0 points to trade at 11120.0 in late trade. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 0.73% or 200.0 points to end at 27300.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) shed 0.41% or 120.0 points to 29180.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.15% or 0.23 to $151.35 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.57% or 16.50 to hit $2898.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.35 to trade at $1330.45 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.28% to 2902.50, while BRL/COP fell 3.04% to 884.34.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 95.74.
