Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.28% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 1.19% or 35.0 points to trade at 2985.0 at the close. Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 1.09% or 120.0 points to end at 11080.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.03% or 20.0 points to 1960.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 3.97% or 19.0 points to trade at 460.0 in late trade. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) declined 0.14% or 40.0 points to end at 29040.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) shed 0.13% or 40.0 points to 29600.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.11% or 0.14 to $121.78 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.09% or 21.00 to hit $1901.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1265.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.02% to 2971.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.10% to 903.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 93.03.
