Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.20% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which rose 5.30% or 980.0 points to trade at 19480.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 2.36% or 25.0 points to end at 1085.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) was up 2.28% or 340.0 points to 15220.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA), which lost 1.41% or 200.0 points to trade at 13980.0 in late trade. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) declined 1.16% or 400.0 points to end at 34100.0 and Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP (CN:EEB) shed 1.07% or 20.0 points to 1855.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.09% or 1.15 to $106.45 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.98% or 22.00 to hit $2234.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.41% or 18.05 to trade at $1297.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.55% to 3151.99, while BRL/COP fell 0.57% to 835.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.85% at 95.482.
