Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.16% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.05% or 20.0 points to trade at 1930.0 at the close. Etb (CN:ETB) added 0.82% or 4.0 points to end at 494.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was up 0.62% or 60.0 points to 9690.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 1.16% or 0.3 points to trade at 25.5 in late trade. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) declined 0.67% or 200.0 points to end at 29600.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) shed 0.54% or 100.0 points to 18500.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.01% or 1.20 to $120.08 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.33% or 25.00 to hit $1903.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.27% or 15.80 to trade at $1257.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.57% to 3010.85, while BRL/COP fell 0.71% to 909.29.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 93.44.
