Investing.com – Brazil equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Consumption and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were RUMO Logistica Operadora Multimodal SA (SA:RAIL3), which rose 3.41% or 0.49 points to trade at 14.85 at the close. Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA:SUZB3) added 2.01% or 0.81 points to end at 41.06 and EcoRodovias SA (SA:ECOR3) was up 1.95% or 0.19 points to 9.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BRF SA (SA:BRFS3), which lost 3.58% or 0.92 points to trade at 24.80 in late trade. Natura Cosmeticos SA (SA:NATU3) declined 3.42% or 1.14 points to end at 32.21 and Ultrapar Participacoes SA (SA:UGPA3) shed 2.47% or 1.53 points to 60.45.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.54% to 27.90.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.05% or 13.90 to $1305.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.60% or 1.10 to hit $67.47 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract rose 1.71% or 2.10 to trade at $124.88 .
USD/BRL was up 0.02% to 3.5076, while EUR/BRL fell 1.26% to 4.1820.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.70% at 92.27.
