Sept 3 (Reuters) - Australian shares are poised to open higher for a second straight session on Thursday, tracking gains on Wall Street as signs of economic recovery following upbeat data from the world's top two economies along with hopes of more stimulus boosted sentiment.
The local share price index futures YAPcm1 rose 0.7%, a 29.8-point premium to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index .AXJO close. The benchmark rose 1.8% on Wednesday.
New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index .NZ50 rose up to 0.5% in early trade.
