Investing.com - The S&P/ASX 200 fell 59.4 points or 0.9% to 6,785.7 during Friday’s trading session, snapping 4 session of gain and retreating from 6-week highs, while still gaining 1.6% for the week.
Among stocks, Materials shed 4% collectively amid lower iron ore prices, with Rio Tinto Ltd (ASX:RIO) down 4.4%, BHP Group Ltd (ASX:BHP) falling 5%, Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (ASX:FMG) down 8.2% and Champion Iron Ltd (ASX:CIA) losing 9.2%.
Health Care also retreated 0.9% as CSL Ltd (ASX:CSL) lost 0.6%, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Ltd (ASX:FPH) fell 0.1%, Resmed Inc (ASX:RMD) shed 5% and Pro Medicus Ltd (ASX:PME) lost 2.4%.
On the bond markets, Australia 10-Year rates were at 3.781% while United States 10-Year rates were at 3.938%.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 added 0.1% to 11,115.6.
