Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Public Services, Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (CN:ETB), which rose 1.55% or 10.0 points to trade at 655.0 at the close. Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) added 0.78% or 80.0 points to end at 10280.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 0.51% or 60.0 points to 11900.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 1.07% or 15.0 points to trade at 1385.0 in late trade. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 1.04% or 120.0 points to end at 11400.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) shed 0.61% or 120.0 points to 19660.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 9 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.56% or 0.85 to $153.10 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.73% or 16.00 to hit $2185.50 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.93% or 11.30 to trade at $1199.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.34% to 2921.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.34% to 921.46.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 99.93.
