The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr), which rose 20.96% or 0.118 points to trade at 0.681 at the close. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) added 13.16% or 0.104 points to end at 0.894 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was up 8.97% or 0.130 points to 1.580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which lost 3.77% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.230 in late trade. Hellenic Petroleum SA (AT:HEPr) declined 2.77% or 0.230 points to end at 8.070 and Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) shed 2.52% or 0.003 points to 0.116.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 69 to 44 and 11 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.51% or 18.72 to $1223.58 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.35% or 0.62 to hit $46.66 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.11% or 0.54 to trade at $49.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.1364, while EUR/GBP rose 0.14% to 0.8782.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 95.94.
