Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which rose 1.40% or 0.43 points to trade at 31.05 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 0.95% or 0.0600 points to end at 6.3500 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 0.62% or 0.23 points to 37.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 3.22% or 0.132 points to trade at 3.968 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 2.01% or 0.63 points to end at 30.70 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 1.98% or 0.082 points to 4.068.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 105 to 72 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 3.55% or 1.80 to $48.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.24% or 1.58 to hit $47.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.95 to trade at $1275.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.09% to 1.0976, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8978.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 98.36.
