Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 2.33% or 0.63 points to trade at 27.72 at the close. Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) added 1.92% or 2.50 points to end at 132.50 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) was up 1.78% or 3.3 points to 188.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 2.50% or 11.40 points to trade at 444.60 in late trade. Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) declined 1.26% or 1.00 points to end at 78.55 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) shed 0.76% or 1.1 points to 143.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 290 to 251 and 56 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.17% or 1.25 to $38.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.74% or 1.12 to hit $39.75 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.56% or 6.90 to trade at $1228.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.26% to 9.2526, while USD/SEK fell 0.29% to 8.2614.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 95.90.
