Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Miscellaneous Industry, Agriculture and Basic Industry sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index gained 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Elnusa Tbk (JK:ELSA), which rose 15.18% or 29 points to trade at 220 at the close. Meanwhile, Rig Tenders Tbk (JK:RIGS) added 13.57% or 19 points to end at 159 and Sat Nusapersada Tbk (JK:PTSN) was up 13.43% or 9 points to 76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jaya Agra Wattie Tbk (JK:JAWA), which fell 9.95% or 20 points to trade at 181 at the close. Nusantara Inti Corpora Tbk (JK:UNIT) declined 9.84% or 25.00 points to end at 229.00 and Asuransi Jasa Tania Tbk (JK:ASJT) was down 9.71% or 17.00 points to 158.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 148 to 147 and 51 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nusantara Inti Corpora Tbk (JK:UNIT) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.84% or 25.00 to 229.00.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.49% or 0.48 to $32.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.11% or 0.71 to hit $34.65 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.24% or 2.70 to trade at $1118.50 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.27% to 13865.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.70% to 9804.75.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 98.88.
