Akora Resources Ltd (ASX:AKO) has appointed experienced mining company executive Shane Turner as chief financial officer (CFO) and company secretary, effective as of January 1, 2024.
A chartered accountant with 35 years of experience in finance, Turner has served as a non-executive director, company secretary and CFO with heavy mineral sands company MRG Metals since 2011, and as company secretary and CFO for White Rock Minerals since 2016.

“We are pleased that Mr Turner has joined AKORA, his financial background and experience in the African mining space will be a tremendous asset to the company as we advance our high-grade iron ore projects in Madagascar,” AKORA Resources managing director and CEO Paul Bibby said.
Outgoing CFO John Madden announced his retirement in August but will continue to serve the company until the 2023 year-end accounts and annual report are completed early next year.
AKORA acknowledges and thanks Madden for his contribution and guidance since establishing the company in 2009.
