Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Petrochemicals, Energy & Utilities and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were United Wire Factories Company (SE:1301), which rose 9.78% or 1.80 points to trade at 20.20 at the close. National Industrialization Co (SE:2060) added 9.68% or 0.90 points to end at 10.20 and Sahara (SE:2260) was up 7.82% or 0.70 points to 9.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110), which lost 10.00% or 1.70 points to trade at 15.30 in late trade. Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) declined 9.96% or 1.25 points to end at 11.30 and Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310) shed 9.55% or 0.95 points to 9.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 82 to 70 and 16 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.14% or 0.48 to $41.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.87% or 0.39 to hit $44.30 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.97% or 12.20 to trade at $1248.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.66% to 4.2404, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.55% at 94.54.
