Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Public Services, Investment and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 6.43% or 450.0 points to trade at 7450.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 0.91% or 15.0 points to end at 1655.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) was up 0.99% or 220.0 points to 22500.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which fell 3.18% or 115.0 points to trade at 3505.0 at the close. Isagen SA (CN:ISG) declined 1.62% or 45.0 points to end at 2740.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was down 1.21% or 20.0 points to 1635.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 15 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.42% or 1.88 to $129.72 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.21% or 7.00 to hit $3355.50 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.42% or 4.90 to trade at $1148.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.15% to 2715.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.25% to 865.28.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 97.29.
