Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.92% or 0.2750 points to trade at 7.2850 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.04% or 0.088 points to end at 4.394 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.31% or 0.030 points to 9.775 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which lost 4.35% or 1.77 points to trade at 38.94 in late trade. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 3.27% or 1.19 points to end at 35.21 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) shed 3.17% or 0.93 points to 28.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 79 and 11 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 2.12% or 0.95 to $43.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.23% or 0.97 to hit $42.44 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1223.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.04% to 1.0741, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.8599.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.01% at 99.99.
