Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Energy and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 3.02%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 7.38% or 0.44 points to trade at 6.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 5.35% or 1.74 points to end at 34.24 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) was up 5.22% or 6.2 points to 124.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 1.90% or 0.20 points to trade at 10.30 at the close. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) declined 0.46% or 4.0 points to end at 863.0 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was down 0.34% or 0.10 points to 29.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 146 to 42 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 3.68% or 1.33 to $37.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.92% or 1.05 to hit $37.16 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.48% or 5.20 to trade at $1068.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.53% to 9.5043, while USD/NOK rose 0.23% to 8.7408.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 98.64.
