Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Healthcare and Consumer Staples sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which rose 3.67% or 3.24 points to trade at 91.61 at the close. VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) added 2.56% or 0.64 points to end at 25.68 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) was up 2.28% or 4.42 points to 198.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which lost 3.00% or 0.980 points to trade at 31.720 in late trade. Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) declined 2.93% or 0.690 points to end at 22.820 and Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA) shed 1.90% or 0.890 points to 46.030.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 133 to 118 and 13 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.04% or 0.50 to $1268.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.87% or 0.40 to hit $46.48 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.85% or 0.41 to trade at $48.70 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.42% to 18.0568, while EUR/MXN fell 0.39% to 20.2395.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 96.99.
