Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Agriculture & Food and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 3.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Yanbu National Petrochemical Co (SE:2290), which rose 10.67% or 3.20 points to trade at 33.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Jarir Marketing Co (SE:4190) added 10.29% or 12.25 points to end at 131.25 and Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270) was up 9.89% or 1.75 points to 19.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050), which fell 3.19% or 0.30 points to trade at 9.10 at the close. Anb Insurance (SE:8011) declined 1.40% or 0.75 points to end at 53.00 and BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) was down 0.96% or 0.15 points to 15.55.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 155 to 11.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.72% or 0.56 to $32.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.00% or 0.68 to hit $34.61 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.25% or 2.80 to trade at $1118.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.17% to 4.0912, while USD/SAR rose 0.04% to 3.7506.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 98.94.
