Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.96% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 1.17% or 1.70 points to trade at 147.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) added 1.03% or 2.6 points to end at 255.7 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 0.98% or 0.24 points to 24.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which fell 2.76% or 1.70 points to trade at 59.80 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 2.11% or 1.80 points to end at 83.45 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was down 2.00% or 1.60 points to 78.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 372 to 207 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.48% or 0.18 to $37.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.46% or 0.18 to hit $40.08 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.30 to trade at $1074.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.18% to 9.2543, while USD/SEK fell 1.03% to 8.4248.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.77% at 97.66.
