Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Energy, Insurance and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.13%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which rose 0.65% or 0.70 points to trade at 108.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) added 0.61% or 4.5 points to end at 740.0 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 0.55% or 0.35 points to 64.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which fell 7.54% or 0.76 points to trade at 9.26 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 4.70% or 1.83 points to end at 37.07 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was down 4.63% or 2.6 points to 53.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 75 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.12% or 1.55 to $48.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.86% or 1.51 to hit $51.40 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.50% or 5.80 to trade at $1161.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.04% to 9.1789, while USD/NOK rose 0.03% to 8.0739.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 94.82.
