Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Hotels & Tourism and Agriculture & Food sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.75% to hit a new 3-years low.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Company for Coop. Insurance (SE:8010), which rose 7.82% or 4.75 points to trade at 65.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian Mining Company (SE:1211) added 6.03% or 1.70 points to end at 29.90 and United Wire Factories Company (SE:1301) was up 4.44% or 0.85 points to 20.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Agriculture Development Co (SE:6010), which fell 9.75% or 2.30 points to trade at 21.30 at the close. Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE:4210) declined 7.49% or 3.95 points to end at 48.80 and Aldrees Petroleum & Transport Svcs (SE:4200) was down 6.51% or 2.20 points to 31.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 130 to 36.
Shares in National Agriculture Development Co (SE:6010) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.75% or 2.30 to 21.30. Shares in Aldrees Petroleum & Transport Svcs (SE:4200) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.51% or 2.20 to 31.60.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.43% or 0.14 to $31.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.56% or 0.18 to hit $32.06 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.88% or 9.70 to trade at $1086.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.26% to 4.0678, while USD/SAR fell 0.05% to 3.7540.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 99.13.
