Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 2.86% or 0.282 points to trade at 10.140 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) added 2.21% or 0.0190 points to end at 0.8790 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 1.49% or 0.0024 points to 0.1637 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Montepio (LS:MPIO), which lost 4.20% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.411 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.31% or 0.1800 points to end at 13.5850 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) shed 1.18% or 0.0200 points to 1.6800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $51.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $48.79 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.20 to trade at $1229.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.0751, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8674.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 100.05.
