Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were REN (LS:RENE), which rose 1.60% or 0.0460 points to trade at 2.9280 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.49% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.1360 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 0.72% or 0.048 points to 6.750 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which lost 2.53% or 0.0970 points to trade at 3.7380 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.76% or 0.1950 points to end at 10.8550 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) shed 1.40% or 0.0940 points to 6.6160.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 23 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was down 4.17% or 1.68 to $38.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 3.91% or 1.50 to hit $36.84 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.42% or 17.50 to trade at $1218.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1390, while EUR/GBP rose 1.12% to 0.8014.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 94.64.
