Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction & Building Materials, Insurance and Electrical & Electronic equipment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Colorado (CS:COL), which rose 5.99% or 3.54 points to trade at 62.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) added 3.45% or 5.25 points to end at 157.00 and S2M (CS:S2M) was up 3.08% or 5.45 points to 181.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Snep (CS:SNP), which fell 5.77% or 5.55 points to trade at 90.51 at the close. Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) declined 5.41% or 55 points to end at 961 and Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) was down 4.76% or 10.00 points to 200.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 18 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Colorado (CS:COL) rose to 52-week lows; rising 5.99% or 3.54 to 62.56.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.48% or 1.02 to $40.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.38% or 0.60 to hit $43.23 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 2.32% or 24.60 to trade at $1085.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.24% to 10.7760, while USD/MAD rose 0.25% to 9.8990.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 98.28.
