Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Chemicals and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 9.98% or 6 points to trade at 71 at the close. Meanwhile, Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 9.98% or 5.60 points to end at 61.68 and Managem (CS:MNG) was up 6.00% or 32 points to 556 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Involys (CS:INV), which fell 5.99% or 6.95 points to trade at 109.00 at the close. M2M Group (CS:M2M) declined 4.32% or 9.95 points to end at 220.05 and Delta Holding S.A (CS:DHO) was down 3.86% or 0.73 points to 18.16.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 18 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 6.34% or 1.84 to $30.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 7.21% or 2.32 to hit $34.50 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.50% or 6.00 to trade at $1214.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.02% to 10.8800, while USD/MAD rose 0.00% to 9.7639.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 96.78.
