Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco BPI (LS:BBPI), which rose 8.98% or 0.0840 points to trade at 1.0190 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 5.59% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.0378 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 2.16% or 0.0290 points to 1.3700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which fell 4.17% or 0.1520 points to trade at 3.4900 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 2.45% or 0.1690 points to end at 6.7200 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was down 2.35% or 0.1510 points to 6.2810.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 27 to 19 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.26% or 0.09 to $34.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.90% or 0.28 to hit $31.43 a barrel, while the April Gold contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1157.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.1134, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.7698.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.65% at 97.13.
