Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.70% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 10.45% or 0.635 points to trade at 6.710 at the close. Meanwhile, Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) added 1.95% or 0.21 points to end at 10.96 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was up 1.85% or 0.44 points to 24.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 6.69% or 0.230 points to trade at 3.208 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 5.39% or 0.1800 points to end at 3.1600 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 5.29% or 0.28 points to 5.01.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 94 to 86 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) fell to 5-year lows; losing 6.69% or 0.230 to 3.208.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.03% or 0.01 to $49.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.26% or 0.12 to hit $46.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 2.42% or 28.50 to trade at $1147.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.0957, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.7162.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 97.49.
