Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Footwear & Textile and Banking, Financials & Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) PLC (CM:ASPH), which rose 24.97% or 93.60 points to trade at 468.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND) added 24.72% or 445.00 points to end at 2245.00 and Hunter & Company PLC (CM:HUNT) was up 16.57% or 67.50 points to 474.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ), which fell 13.98% or 349.50 points to trade at 2149.90 at the close. PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) declined 12.50% or 0.10 points to end at 0.80 and Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO) was down 11.18% or 339.70 points to 2700.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 114 to 92 and 20 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.77% or 0.86 to $49.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.65% or 0.85 to hit $52.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.17% or 1.90 to trade at $1148.30 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.07% to 213.625, while USD/LKR fell 0.44% to 140.305.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 95.56.
