Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Retail, Financial Services and Agriculture & Food sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Halwani Bros (SE:6001), which rose 5.73% or 2.75 points to trade at 50.75 at the close. Anb Insurance (SE:8011) added 4.26% or 0.90 points to end at 22.05 and Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040) was up 3.52% or 1.40 points to 41.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8280), which lost 5.03% or 1.25 points to trade at 23.60 in late trade. Arabian Cement Co (SE:3010) declined 5.03% or 1.90 points to end at 35.90 and United Cooperative Assurance Co (SE:8190) shed 3.76% or 0.50 points to 12.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 82 to 64 and 28 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.17% or 0.09 to $52.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.20% or 0.11 to hit $55.00 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.63% or 8.10 to trade at $1286.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.09% to 4.0205, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7508.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 99.59.
