Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Leasing & Factoring and Textile & Leather sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vakif Gmyo (IS:VKGYO), which rose 6.88% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.330 at the close. Trabzonspor Sportif (IS:TSPOR) added 6.83% or 0.200 points to end at 3.130 and Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) was up 3.93% or 0.24 points to 6.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which lost 3.09% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.940 in late trade. Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) declined 2.87% or 0.30 points to end at 10.16 and Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN) shed 2.17% or 0.14 points to 6.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 213 to 119 and 77 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.86% or 10.10 to $1188.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.61% or 0.74 to hit $46.80 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.60% or 0.77 to trade at $49.01 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.72% to 3.4254, while EUR/TRY fell 0.80% to 3.6287.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 101.39.
