Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.90%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.36% or 0.1400 points to trade at 6.0750 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 2.10% or 0.190 points to end at 9.240 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was up 2.06% or 0.30 points to 14.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which lost 7.09% or 1.96 points to trade at 25.69 in late trade. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 0.50% or 0.13 points to end at 25.80 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) shed 0.19% or 0.05 points to 25.67.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 133 to 48 and 10 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.63% or 0.33 to $51.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.61% or 0.31 to hit $50.13 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.01% or 0.15 to trade at $1257.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.0991, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.9015.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.41% at 97.93.
