Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HEL:KRA1V), which rose 3.49% or 0.37 points to trade at 10.97 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV) added 3.26% or 1.14 points to end at 36.07 and Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOKIA) was up 2.31% or 0.135 points to 5.970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V), which fell 2.57% or 0.112 points to trade at 4.238 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) declined 1.41% or 0.0460 points to end at 3.2240 and TeliaSonera AB (HEL:TLS1V) was down 1.37% or 0.069 points to 4.966.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 104 to 64 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.57% or 0.112 to 4.238. Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.41% or 0.0460 to 3.2240.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.99% or 0.94 to $48.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.98% or 1.34 to hit $46.36 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.49% or 5.60 to trade at $1132.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.85% to 1.1203, while EUR/GBP fell 0.57% to 0.7226.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.63% at 95.97.
