Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 2.50% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.2460 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 2.24% or 0.3450 points to end at 15.7800 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.62% or 0.0110 points to 0.6910 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP (LS:EDP), which lost 2.24% or 0.0670 points to trade at 2.9220 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 1.16% or 0.0830 points to end at 7.0630 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 0.64% or 0.0390 points to 6.0180.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 11 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.82% or 0.41 to $50.60 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.60% or 0.29 to hit $48.53 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.25% or 3.35 to trade at $1313.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.1213, while EUR/GBP rose 0.82% to 0.8731.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 95.64.
