Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 1.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which rose 3.38% or 0.2090 points to trade at 6.3890 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) added 3.14% or 0.0290 points to end at 0.9520 and was unchanged % or points to in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 3.74% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.1800 in late trade. Impresa SGPS (LS:IMPA) declined 1.83% or 0.0080 points to end at 0.4300 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) shed 1.33% or 0.0470 points to 3.4770.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 31 to 19 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 3.39% or 1.20 to $36.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 3.39% or 1.11 to hit $33.89 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.07% or 13.00 to trade at $1233.40 a troy ounce.
