Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.63% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which rose 0.82% or 0.10 points to trade at 12.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Snam (MI:SRG) added 0.41% or 0.020 points to end at 4.930 and Tod'S (MI:TOD) was up 0.29% or 0.20 points to 69.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which fell 6.05% or 2.61 points to trade at 40.54 at the close. Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MI:PMII) declined 4.91% or 0.0420 points to end at 0.8140 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) was down 4.45% or 0.260 points to 5.580.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 292 to 137 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) fell to all time lows; down 6.05% or 2.61 to 40.54. Shares in STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.45% or 0.260 to 5.580.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.63% or 0.21 to $33.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.55% or 0.18 to hit $33.56 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.63% or 7.00 to trade at $1100.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.0885, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.7497.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 98.72.
